MpATM missing experimental subject MpATM (ATAXIA-TELANGIECTASIA MUTATED) acts redundantly with MpATR in the double-strand break response; the Mpatm/atr double mutant shows aggravated clonal growth defects.
MpATR missing experimental subject MpATR is the M. polymorpha homolog of the ATR kinase, identified and functionally characterized here. It preserves meristematic cells during replication stress and, unlike vascular-plant ATR, is essential for repressing proliferation of differentiated cells; Mpatr mutants show progressively severe growth defects across clonal generations.
